US President Joe Biden has stated that only the “Lord Almighty” could persuade him to end his bid for re-election. This declaration came during a rare prime time interview aimed at addressing Democratic concerns about his candidacy.

In an ABC News interview on Friday, Biden also refused to take a cognitive test and make the results public to assure voters of his fitness for another term.

“I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day I have that test – everything I do [is a test],” he told George Stephanopoulos.

At 81, Biden once again dismissed suggestions from some Democratic officials and donors that he should step aside for a younger candidate, following a poor debate performance against Donald Trump last week.

Throughout the interview, Stephanopoulos pressed Biden on his capacity to serve another term, questioning if he was in denial about his health and ability to win.

“I don’t think anybody’s more qualified to be president or win this race than me,” Biden said, attributing his poor debate performance to exhaustion and a “bad cold.” In the 22-minute interview, he also:

  • Tried to reassure Democrats that he had not lost ground to Trump since the debate, citing pollsters who told him the race was a “toss-up”
  • Rejected the notion that his allies might ask him to step aside. “It’s not going to happen,” he said
  • Dismissed repeated questions about what might compel him to leave the race. “If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race,” he said. “The Lord Almighty’s not coming down” (and the chances are Joe when the time comes you wont be going up!!)

Biden spoke more clearly than he did during the debate, though his voice occasionally sounded weak and hoarse.

This was a stark contrast to his performance at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday, where a revitalized Biden acknowledged his poor debate showing. “Ever since then, there’s been a lot of speculation. What’s Joe going to do?” he told the crowd.

“Here’s my answer. I am running and going to win again,” Biden declared, as supporters in the crucial battleground state cheered his name.

If I was Biden I wouldn’t get anywhere near the Almighty’s cross-hairs not with his involvement of supplying weapons, like 2000 lb bombs and hell-fire missiles that have killed approaching 38000 civilians, of which a estimated 70% are women and children, with that much killing on his hands, its highly unlikely the “Almighty” would be giving him any advise, that’s more likely to come from the other guy with the horns!!!
