- Forecast: Renewed support for thunderstorms with heavy rain on Thursday into Friday.
- Upper-Level Energy: Reinvigorates storms in central to northern Plains, Mississippi Valley, and Midwest.
- Risk Levels: Moderate Risks of excessive rainfall for eastern South Dakota, parts of Minnesota, and western Wisconsin.
- Flash Flooding: Numerous flash floods likely due to antecedent wet conditions from previous rainfall.
- Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms expected across the Great Lakes region and Northeast with risks of severe wind and low chances for hail.

Heat Wave:
- Temperature: Record-breaking heat wave ongoing.
- Highs and Lows: Afternoon highs and warm overnight lows will challenge daily, monthly, and all-time records.
- Heat Index: Peaks from 100 to 105 degrees in many locations.
- Health Advisory: Those without reliable air conditioning should find ways to cool down; record warm overnight temperatures will prevent natural cooling.
- Relief: Cooler conditions expected in New England by Friday behind a cold front. However, high temperatures will persist in the Ohio Valley to Mid-Atlantic.
