A new government has been formed in Haiti as the nation attempts to restore order amidst persistent violence.

The new cabinet completely replaces all the ministers from the previous administration led by former Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who was forced to step down earlier this year by gangs controlling large parts of the country.

This announcement comes two weeks after the transitional government council appointed Garry Conille as interim prime minister. According to a decree published in Haiti’s official gazette, Conille will also serve as the interior minister.

The formation of this new cabinet is a significant step towards political stability in a nation plagued by violence and uncertainty for many months. The transitional council has appointed individuals to all key cabinet positions, a spokeswoman confirmed.
