A body discovered during the search for television and radio personality Michael Mosley on the Greek island of Symi has been reported by a rescue worker to the BBC.
Mosley, aged 67 and renowned for his television shows and BBC Radio 4’s Just One Thing podcast, disappeared on Wednesday while vacationing.
Authorities concentrated their search efforts in a remote mountainous region where Mosley was last seen.
On Wednesday afternoon, he departed from Agios Nikolaos beach, leaving his wife behind to embark on a stroll at around 13:30 local time (11:30 BST).
His wife became alarmed when Mosley failed to return and reported him missing, noting that he was not carrying his phone.
The body, discovered near Agia Marina beach at a small cliff on a rocky hill northeast of the village of Pedi, awaits formal identification.
