Today’s forecast calls for breezy conditions with intervals of sunshine amidst areas of cloud and scattered showers, particularly prone to turning thundery in the south-east. Along certain eastern English coasts, thicker cloud and spells of rain are expected.

As night falls, the cloud cover and showers will gradually retreat to eastern England, leaving much of the rest of the region dry with extensive clear spells and only isolated patches of cloud.

Looking ahead to Friday, most areas will enjoy dry weather accompanied by sunshine, although central and south-eastern England may experience cloudier conditions with occasional showery rain. Cloud will encroach upon far north Scotland later in the day, with a chance of isolated showers.

Over the weekend, Saturday promises dry and sunny weather for many regions. Southern areas may experience temporary cloud cover with light drizzle, while the far north-west might observe cloud buildup. Sunday will be overcast in the north with sporadic light rain, while the rest of the country remains dry with sunny intervals. Monday is anticipated to be relatively cloudy for most, with patches of rain expected in the north-west. However, some regions will still enjoy sunny spells, and temperatures are forecasted to rise slightly.
