On Monday, April 8th, the following UK train lines have been affected by the strike action:

  • c2c
  • Greater Anglia
  • GTR Great Northern
  • Thameslink
  • Southeastern
  • Southern/Gatwick Express
  • South Western Railway main line and depot drivers
  • SWR Island Line

South Western Railway (SWR) will operate a “significantly reduced” service on a small number of lines, with trains running between 07:00 BST and 19:00 BST. Southern has stated there will be no trains running across the majority of its network, with only a limited non-stop service between London Victoria and Gatwick. Similarly, Thameslink services will be disrupted, with exceptions for limited non-stop services between London Kings Cross and Cambridge, as well as shuttle services between London St Pancras, Luton, and Luton Airport Parkway.

Additionally, there will be no Great Northern or Gatwick Express services. Southeastern mentioned that most of its routes and stations will be closed, with an extremely limited service where trains are running. c2c trains will not run, and Greater Anglia will operate an hourly train service on specific routes.

It’s advisable for passengers to check for up-to-date information on service availability and any changes on the National Rail website.

UK National coach operator National Express said “it was adding thousands of extras seats across its coach services”.
