The departure of three suspects involved in the stabbing of an Iranian TV host in south London has been confirmed by the Metropolitan Police. Pouria Zeraati, 36, was attacked outside his Wimbledon home on Friday afternoon but has since been discharged from hospital. Commander Dominic Murphy stated, “We have identified three suspects who we believe left the UK within hours of the attack.” Detectives determined that Mr. Zeraati was assaulted by two individuals in a residential area before fleeing in a blue Mazda 3 driven by a third suspect. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned in New Malden. “We have confirmed that the suspects traveled to Heathrow Airport and left the UK,” said Cdr Murphy. He also noted that while the motive remains unclear, recent threats against UK-based Iranian journalists have prompted counter-terrorism officers to lead the investigation. Meanwhile, Mr. Zeraati expressed gratitude for the support received and confirmed his recovery on social media. The Last Word host on Iran International asserted that the attack was premeditated. Iran International, which claims to provide independent coverage, has been declared a terrorist organization by the Tehran regime.
