Your Majesty the courts sit in the UK in your name, they have determined that a massive miscarriage of justice happened in the cases of Sub Postmasters/mistresses being wrongly convicted, one man went to extraordinary lengths to bring this to the nations attention and regretfully a oppourtunity to acknowledge that effort was missed, we the following signatories would wish and request that Your Majesty corrects this oversight and confers on Alan Bates a richly deserved honour of a Knighthood that recognises his fight for justice for all those wrongly accused of theft and dishonesty by the Post Office..

Why is this important?

It is important to uphold the right to a fair trial, a right for the truth to be told and those who have suffered a miscarriage of justice to be fully exonerated, anyone who works so hard to achieve this should not go unrecognised. Alan Bates is such a man and his work and tireless campaign for the truth to be rewarded with this high award by His Majesty King Charles, please support this for Alan and the 550 of his Sub Post Masters and Mistresses.
