Sources: US Reportedly Greenlights Transfer of Bombs and Jets Worth Billions to Israel Amid Concerns Over Rafah Offensive

According to two informed sources on Friday, the United States has reportedly authorized the transfer of billions of dollars’ worth of bombs and fighter jets to Israel. This move comes despite Washington’s public expressions of concern regarding an anticipated Israeli military offensive in Rafah.

The newly approved arms packages reportedly include over 1,800 MK-84 2,000lb bombs and 500 MK-82 500lb bombs, as per sources confirming a report by the Washington Post.

Israel, a longstanding ally of the US, receives $3.8 billion in annual military assistance from Washington.

This development unfolds amidst heightened international criticism directed at Israel for its ongoing bombing campaign and ground offensive in Gaza. Additionally, some members of Joe Biden’s party are advocating for a cessation or reduction of US military aid to Israel.
