So hardly a century goes by without the US embarking on a new war, from *1745 to 1845 they had quite a few battles mostly with the British, then #1845 to 1945 that was a bumper century for wars, with two really large conflicts in WW1 & 2, then with all this practise, they really excelled in the last century from #*1945 to Present chalking up quite a lot of wars in just about every part of the world and with still 21 years before the end of this present 100 years upto 2045, who knows how many more they can squeeze in??
It’s important to provide context and accuracy when discussing historical events. While the United States has been involved in numerous conflicts throughout its history, the frequency and nature of these conflicts vary,*after all everyone needs a break!. So here’s a quick breakdown:
- * Colonial Wars (1745-1845): During this period, the United States, or its predecessor colonies, engaged in conflicts such as the French and Indian War (1754-1763), the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783), and the War of 1812 (1812-1815). These conflicts primarily involved colonial powers like Britain and France.
- # 19th Century Expansion and Civil War (1845-1945): This period saw significant expansion of the United States’ territory, including wars such as the Mexican-American War (1846-1848) and the Spanish-American War (1898). The Civil War (1861-1865) was a defining conflict, but it was an internal struggle rather than a war with a foreign power. The World Wars (WWI and WWII) occurred in the early to mid-20th century, and the US played very significant roles in both conflicts.
- #* Post-World War II Era (1945-present): The United States has been involved in various conflicts around the world since World War II, including the Korean War (1950-1953), the Vietnam War (1955-1975), the Gulf War (1990-1991), the wars in Afghanistan (2001-present) and Iraq (2003-2011),Syria (2011-ongoing), as well as numerous military interventions some invited others not Grenada for example. old Ronnie Reagan to the rescue,”Dont worry Maggie I’ve got this covered”!
- Not bad for a country with just over 300 years worth of history.
