PM Narendra Modi Set to Secure Third Term as BJP Loses Absolute Majority

In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to secure his third consecutive term, despite his BJP party losing its outright parliamentary majority for the first time in a decade. The NDA bloc, led by the BJP, managed to secure 293 seats, comfortably surpassing the 272-mark required to form a government. Modi expressed gratitude to the voters for their mandate and pledged to tackle corruption and poverty with utmost dedication.

Meanwhile, the opposition coalition, INDIA, performed remarkably well, securing 232 seats, a performance that exceeded initial expectations. However, the INDIA alliance has yet to concede defeat, announcing plans to convene today to deliberate on their next course of action.

This electoral spectacle, touted as the world’s largest election, unfolded over seven phases spanning six weeks, with nearly a billion registered voters participating in the democratic process.
