The events at Kent State University on May 4, 1970, were a tragic and pivotal moment in American history. The shooting occurred during a protest against the Vietnam War, and the deaths of the four students sparked widespread outrage and protests across the nation. It remains a poignant reminder of the tensions and divisions surrounding the war and the lengths to which authorities would go to suppress dissent.

We seem to be repeating history and nothing has been learnt for a seemingly intelligent country it doesn’t appear to elect very sensible people at the top, a weapon was discharged albeit by accident at the heavy handed break up of the Palestinian support protests in New York thankfully no injuries occurred. The authorities in the USA should remember the constitution provides for a right to protest, after all the USA is quick to condemn eastern countries.
