A baby girl injured during the stabbing rampage at a Sydney mall has been discharged from the hospital. The nine-month-old daughter of Ashlee Good, who tragically lost her life while protecting her child, will continue to receive medical care, according to health officials. Following the attack at Westfield Bondi Junction shopping mall on April 13, where six people lost their lives, including five women, the baby underwent surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital for chest and arm injuries. Joel Cauchi, 40, instigated panic in the crowded complex by wielding a long blade, resulting in his eventual fatal confrontation with police. The incident, a rarity in Australia, has deeply shocked the nation. Following news of the baby’s release, a vigil was held at Bondi Beach, attended by thousands, including families with babies in strollers, political leaders, and emergency responders who handled the crisis. Participants were encouraged to light candles in memory of the victims, their flames fluttering in the ocean breeze.
